Future of 5 G and Why you should know it?

future of 5g in India

5 G acronym of 5th Generation is the next generation mobile communication networks that will offer the fastest speed and reliable connectivity which you have not experienced before. 5G follows 2G, 3G, and 4G while using associated cutting edge technology such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, LTE Advanced Pro, etc.

In a brief introduction, 5G is much more efficient and powerful than 4G as it offers higher speed and more tremendous connectivity with a similar amount of spectrum and antennas. In the context of device support 5G beats 4G, it supports up to a million devices per square kilometer whereas 4G supports only 4000 devices per square kilometer.

Globally, Major telecom giants are progressively setting up the 5G base stations, in April 2019 SK Telecom, KT Corporation, LGU plus collectively set up 96,000 base stations in South Korea. The spectrum frequency was 3.5 GHz and tested speed was 193 to 430 Mbit/Sec. Verizon claimed the fastest download speed that was 80 to 634 Mbit/Sec, and upload speed was 12 to 57 Mbit/Sec along with ping of 25 milliseconds. Presently Huawei, Nokia, Samsung, ZTE, and Ericsson are involved in offering 5G radio hardware and 5G systems.

It’s a surprising fact that in 2020 there will be around 20 billion 5G users across the world, the statistics prove the power and strength of 5G. Now it’s much easy to interpret the impact on the future. We must be well aware of how it can be beneficial for us.

Advantages of 5G Mobile Services

Faster Mobile Services

It’s one of the most significant benefits of 5G services; users will enjoy faster mobile services. Downloading and uploading speeds will boost their internet experience as 5G is set to be as much as 100 times faster than 4G. Today users are more dependent on Mobile Apps for various objectives after 5G implementation of the services will be much faster.

Best for IoT Applications

After the evolution of 4G, technology accelerated but now limited. As IoT (internet of things) is the new possibility and 4G is not sufficient to manage large connections on the network. Hence 5G will be the solution to meet the IoT Applications and other requirements.

Shorter delays

5G is much smarter, faster and more efficient than 4G, and promise to provide excellent speed and reduce latency. The speed may go up to 100 Gigabytes per seconds, which will offer low lag time from when data is sent to when it’s received.

Increased connectivity

It’s another milestone achievement of 5G over 4G, large numbers of users can be connected simultaneously. Around 1 million users can be connected on the 5G network where previously it was 4000 users /sq km.

Important Points

  • Today’s 3G and 4G/LTE phones will be unable to connect to a 5G network.
  • In a few parts of world 5G services has been started and it’s expected to expand dramatically in 2019.
